I guess that Welf August (the son of young EA) isn't in line of succession now, but EA himself ought to still be first in line of succession. Or did Hannover Princes lose their place in the line of succession because of unapproved marriages? I thought that in most German RFs, such a marriage was considered morganatic, thus meaning that neither the spouse, nor the Prince's children would share his rank, but he would keep his position. No idea how, at this point, the succession line is.
E-A Jr and his brother seem to be in excellent terms and if their father would (if he can) rule the elder out of the succession, I wonder how Christian would act.
Would Christian's renounciation bring E-A Jr back in the line or the line would pass to cousin Otto?
I believe the dispute between E-A Sr and E-A Jr has nothing to do with marriage equality, both brothers (as well as E.A Sr) having married commoners, but on differences on how to run the Hannover heritage.
Has QE II been consulted on either E-A Jr or Christian's marriages ?
