Another monarchy that came into existence in the 19th century was Sarawak in Borneo. Although Sarawak is not in Europe, James Brooke, the first Rajah, and his successors were British.
The third Rajah, Vyner, ceded Sarawak to the UK in 1946. It is now a state of Malaysia.
Interestingly, the pro-autonomy movement, Sarawak for Sarawakians (S4S) used the Sarawak flak and coat of arms from the Brooke era rather than more contemporary iterations.
