Doesn't this house operate under the Salic law? Or is female succession permitted upon the extinction of the male line, as in the semi-Salic law?
I know that Baden and Anhalt, like Liechtenstein, permit females to transmit succession rights, if not themselves inherit.
I suppose these systems are better than nothing, to give females a place in the succession to continue a dynasty. France and Prussia do not allow them any rights whatsoever. Like Serbia, Romania, and Bulgaria ...
The Prussian Royal Family are heirs to Mecklenburg on the extinction of the male line on account of a treaty (I forget the name).
