If you can't find her there is a good chance the book is simply wrong...that has happened. Previous Message
I doubt it, since the book states that the father's name was Albrecht. But the Maria Theresa you mentioned was the daughter of an archduke named Karl ... Previous Message
Could it be her?
Maria Theresa of Austria (Maria Theresia Isabella; 31 July 1816 – 8 August 1867) was the second wife of Ferdinand II of the Two Sicilies. She was the eldest daughter of Archduke Charles, Duke of Teschen and Princess Henrietta of Nassau-Weilburg. Previous Message
I'm a little puzzled about identities. Who exactly was she, mentioned in the biography about Empress Elisabeth entitled THE RELUCTANT EMPRESS? She was the daughter of some Archduke Albrecht, but I'm not sure which one, either.
I know that there was a Duke of Teschen thus named, with a daughter named Maria Theresa. But she was born in 1845, and would have been too young to be an observer or correspondent, when the young new empress first arrived in Austria.
