Apparently, there is a Broadway musical that debuted last year based on the premise (familiar to movie fans for generations) of a young woman trying to discover whether or not she is really Grand Duchess Anastasia. From what I have read it seems not to be based on the real the story of Anna Anderson (as the Ingrid Bergman/Yul Brenner classic kinda sorta was) but it is more rooted in the reality of the Russian Revolution than the ridiculous animated film The synopsis I read online says that it is about the Soviets in 1927 trying to hunt down and kill the "rightful heir" [sic] to the throne.
Obviously this is the kind of thing someone who knows the history has to go into not expecting any sort of historical accuracy, but my question is, has anyone seen it? Is it any good as a show that royalty lovers might enjoy on a "suspension of disbelief" basis?
