Royal guests at inaugurations aren't the norm. At the time of Obama's first inauguration, some people in The Netherlands said that in light of the historic inauguration of the first black president, the Prince of Oranje would be a good representative, but at the time this idea was shot down quickly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; the Netherlands has always been represented by their ambassador at presidential inaugurations.

And I seriously doubt that if the election of president Obama wasn't enough reason to send a higher representative, the inauguration of Trump most certainly isn't.
Perhaps we can send Geert Wilders and perhaps the US can keep him?
