The Diiplomatic corps is accredited to the head of state .... However it is quite unclear how far that penetrates into the Romanian society at large. the pictures published are often quite misleading. The Romanian I met are usually not very complimentary, especially when talking about Radu. FOrmer King Michael commands some respect but is is rather historic and for a man at the end of his life. The Crown Princess is less but still respected and then again Radu.... Whether Romanai is already functionally a monarchy or whether that is rather wishful thinking remains to be seen.... We will see whether the new government will persue the draft law ....maybe they have different and more urgent issue to tackle
