The last French monarch was from the Orléans branch and he was elected by parliament (the will of the people).
Wouldn't that mean that the Orléans claim supercedes the claim of Louis Alphonse whose claim is the result of his descendancy and relation to a branch of the house of Bourbon that was deposed in 1789 (by the will of the people).
