: But are Danish royal titles now limited to a
: certain number of generations? Or it it
: just that it's been a while since there have
: been several generations of Danish princes
: in the male line? In any case, succession
: rights are limited to the descendants of
: Christian X and Queen Alexandrine, I
: believe, although I guess that brings up the
: prince "of" vs. prince
: "to" Denmark distinction.
: No, there is no limit to the Danish princely
: title. It descends perpetually in the
: legitimate male line from the Danish
: hereditary monarchs.
Since the Danish succession law is now gender neutral, it is quite possible that there will be a restriction of princely titles amongst the Danish dynasts. This I don't know of course, but it would be possible that the Monarch decides that e.g. the grand children of Prince Joachim won't be HH Prince/ss of Denmark.
That would most likely not effect the Greek Royal House, since their Danish titles, since it has no real legal status. They have just kept using their Danish titles since the days of King George I.
