In recent years there has been some criticism about about her silence on the fate of the Jewish population. She knew about it but did not speak of it during her radio adresses from London, nor did she do anything for the few who did return.
Her great-grandson the current king did adress that as something he finds hard to understand during his speech on remembrance day a few years ago.
