First the PM had his speech on monday explaining what scenario's they had to choose from and what they chose. He and the cabinet introduced regulations.
Secondly there was an impressive public display of recognition for people working in healthcare and other vital sectors where the King and his family were included in their tribute.
Thirdly we had HM's speech. I think it so far has been one of his best. He was clear about the gravity of the situation and thankful to those working hard to limit the effects as much as possible.
One of his strongest lines in my view was that he mentioned the loneliness-virus that we can combat as opposed to the Covid-virus that we don't know how to master yet.
He also mentioned the elderly and addressed himself to children who are now at home.
He did well in this speech. He also suggested that we might see worse times ahead. Im afraid he's right in that and i expect that in that scenario we might see another speech of him in a month or two.
King Willem-Alexander will also be talking to his people in these difficult times...
Tonight at 19.00 hrs (local time) and the national channels will air it all.
