It may be that the procession was limited in numbers and that more relatives and friends were already in the coach house for the service but remained out of sight.
Im not so surprised not to see the daughters of the royal couple or of prince Friso. The five of them have faced early deaths at a very young age so attending a funeral may still be a very emotional thing. So they could have opted not to attend or may very well have been part of those already inside and not part of the procession.
As for what was done during the service we have no clue.
As it was the goodbye to Princess Christina i think that the daughters of the King and Queen would not have played an important role as she was their great aunt. Christina's own children and possibly grandchildren would naturally get a more central role as would her sisters and brother-in-law.
I must say that i actually apreciate the way things were done. With only a few people in a visible procession and the rest in private. Very much as the princess herself would have wanted things. It gave the family and friends the opportunity to remember her and honour her in the way they feel is right without the public interfering.
From what I've read they're divorced.
Secondly, it was mentioned that her 'caretaker' also was among the mourners.
BTW, apart from the fact that the RC just spent a minimum of time to attend this funeral I am at a loss why none of their daughters attended?
Prince Constantijn & Princess Laurentien made sure their 3 children were part of this final farewell.
However, none of the AAA princesses were present even though their mother always boasts about them being such musical talents....
Yet, at the funeral of the most gifted/talented Dutch Princess none was present.
Really
