Thanks, Karen. That's what I thought. I recently read his very flattering triple biography The Mountbattens (Prince Louis, Lord Louis, Prince Philip). I wouldn't take it as gospel because of its bias, but it was an entertaining read. I'm hoping for the same thing here.
It is frustrating that there are so few good books in English about Benelux royalty. We have to take what we can get!

Has anyone read Alden Hatch's authorized 1962 biography of Prince Bernhard? I just got a copy today and I'm wondering how skeptical I should be going in.
I read it, once. The book was written in close cooperation with the Prince, so it is totally flattering to him. Be very skeptical.
