The present Head of the Portuguese Royal Family is not a descendant but the consort of the last King was. Again, a childless union.
I believe that Jan Willem Friso, Prince of Orange, is the nearest common ancestor of all the REIGNING monarchs of Europe. Who, then, would qualify as the nearest common ancestor of all the European royals (both reigning and non-reigning) -- or almost all of them?
I know that matters get tricky, when making qualifications for (say) Montenegro, an upstart dynasty whose first sovereign (King Nikola) had multiple daughters who married into mainstream royal dynasties. However, his own sons didn't do a terribly good job of making prestigious marriages with foreign dynasties (excepting Crown Prince Danilo; unfortunately, his union with Princess Jutta of Mecklenburg-Strelitz turned out to be childless).
The house of Zog in Albania is also a homegrown dynasty, the only possible connection to mainstream foreign dynasties coming through the late Queen Geraldine (born a Hungarian countess).
