I like the fact that they painted pendant state portraits but I'm not sure if the artist's style fit this kind of pictures. I believe his style would be more fitting for a smaller, more casual/intimate portrait and lacks the attention to detail that usually make state portraits a treat to watch.

I have read somewhere that they were made by the Uruguayan painter Osvaldo Leite, who also gave King Philippe some advise for his own work. Don't know if that's true but well, that was what Belgian papers mentioned at the time of the summer opening of the Royal Palace in Brussels when King Philippe also showed his painting of his late uncle King Baudouin.
