After all Baroness Sybille's husband recognized Delphine as his own daughter which emplies legal obligations.
In Portugal only in extreme cases can a parent disinherit his child -
a) if the child has been condemned for a willful crime against the person, property or honour of the parent, his/her spouse, ascendants or descendants;
b) if the child is condemned for slanderous denunciation against the same persons.
c) if the child has refused, without just cause, to support the parent or his/her spouse in case of need.
May be she is looking for King Albert's inheritance.
Is Baroness Sybille a wealthy woman on her own (meaning not due to her husband's fortune) ?
However, Delphine has always known her mother and (then) Prince Albert were having an affair.
Her mother even admitted in an tv interview, a few years back, that Albert always tried to visit them every now and then and that he always was kind to Delphine, even though the mother by that time had already married a very wealthy man, who also had accepted Delphine as his legal child!
Indeed, Delphine grew up as a very rich and spoilt child but at some point (she was already an adult) she and her official father got into some serious disagreements and he disinherited her.
She has since married and became a mother of two, but is still very close to her own mother (whom she ressembles very much: people might even think they were twin sisters when spotted at the fashion shops in London, Paris or Brussels!)
As an artist Delphine uses every opportunity to blend in (...) some hints to King Albert and of her disgust towards 'the monarchy' etc. even to the point that has become so predictable that journalists even can't be bothered to attend yet another opening of an art-gallery with some of her works - which was also very clear in a tv report on Belgian tv some time ago.
She is truly obsessed and I am still amazed her husband & children can't blow the whistle and tell her to back off and try and lead a more peaceful existence with them ... if only for her own children's sake.
As many already said: she won't gain anything by all this frantic running from lawyer to Court Case and back again. It's sad really. For all involved !
