Re: Prince Laurent reflects badly on the RF as a whole
Members of all royal families should be taught from early childhood to understand that with their rank and privileges come responsibilities and duties. If they forget the latter, then consideration should be given to whether they should continue to enjoy the former. That does not mean depriving them of succession rights, because that puts at risk the independence of the crown, but whether the financial subsidies they enjoy come from the state or the crown, reduction or removal should be a sanction for any action which diminishes the crown. I am sure if Prince Laurent was offered the stark choice of accepting his privileged position and the responsibilities that go with it or, earning his own living, he would stop moaning. --Previous Message-- : : http://www.lesoir.be/1389396/article/actualite/belgique/2016-12-11/coup-colere-du-prince-laurent-condamne-par-une-majorite-belges : : according to a recent poll.
