But if she does, I will only wish her the best of luck. Based on her health right now, she could live for many more years and to have happiness and a companion to share those years with would be wonderful for her.
But I doubt it will be her step-cousin Thilo von Watzdorf and that was my exasperation with the (German) press; they were apparently not aware of the existing family-relations between the two.

: Are you dismissing the idea of her having a
: new companion of sorts? I am not saying she
: has but surely it's not impossible that she
: has a close male friend. Paraphrasing the
: words of her grandmother, perhaps not alone
: but it can be lonely at times.

: A Dutch gossipy-program had an item about
: Princess Beatrix having found new love (not
: very likely in my opinion considering the
: close connection and deep love that existed
: between Queen/ Princess Beatrix and the late
: Prince Claus). The press says it is Thilo
: von Watzdorf. Now the name sounded familiar
: to me, and it turns out, this Thilo von
: Watzdorf is a son of Simone Arnoux from her
: first marriage.
:
: The second marriage of Simone Arnoux was to
: Aschwin our Lippe-Biesterfeld, the brother
: of Prince Bernhard.
: So essentially Thilo von Watzdorf is a
: step-cousin (or however you would describe
: it) of the princess. That makes the whole
: story even more unlikely.
: Don't these magazines and programs do some
: background check on their own stories?
