and says to ALL: *the moons were bright, in a sky blown free of clouds by a strong wind. I sit crosslegged, meditating, and let the forest music play over me*

and says to ALL: *listening was the key to becoming "one with the forest" as I called it. the mind was capable of so much more than most people used it for, if one was open to allowing it. the mind stirved to create a 3D picture from limited sensory input. vision was much more a brain function than something that the eyes did. the same was true of hearing. two ears gathered enough information to triangulate on any sound, and know the exact location it came from, once one learned to do it*

and says to ALL: *there was also echolocation. the rising and falling terrain, the huge trees, the banks of the streams - each changed the timbre of sounds that touched them. over time, I learned to see, like a blind person sees, just from listening*

and says to ALL: *the brain could learn to identify the difference between redshift and blueshift, of familiar sounds. the same birdcall in the wind sounded different than when it was still, it sounded different if the bird was moving or still. it echoed differently when things around it were moving or still. learning this was not a conscious process, au contraire, it could not be a conscious process. it had to happen from just sitting and listening. the idle mind would do the rest. when you learned to let it.
