Second foe, and yeah, I know he is predominantly an X-villain, is Apocalypse. Once again, Egyptian in origin. Once again, ancient. You are telling me that there is nothing in his past that would have ticked off Khonshu? C'mon now, this would be a natural choice for a new foe and would really break Apocalypse out of his X-mold. Too good a character to leave languishing in X only stories.
Third: Hobgoblin/Jason Macendale. Yeah, we've seen it before, but only for a couple of issues and could be a really solid long-term villain for MK, especially considering the backgrounds. A little similar to the special ops backgrounds given for the Wolverine/Sabretooth/Deadpool/Weapon X stuff in Wolvie's title.
Fourth...for that matter, bring in some other mercs for MK to take on...almost like a merc reunion tour. Have MK take on the likes of Paladin, Deadpool, and Solo.
Fifth...the Shroud. I have always thought that he was one of the more underused characters in Marvel and should have a more prominent position in Marvel...maybe try to tie Shroud into the aftermath of Shadowland story. Not really a villain, but would make for a nice one-shot team-up.
Sixth...Black Death...villain in the Gravity limited series a couple of years ago, has not been used since.
Seventh...The Hood...again a natural villain for mk...plus imagine if their cowls got tangled.
