Moonknight has already had his fall from grace. He was a washed up, bumed out, busted-up drunk, a drug addict, a failiure and when he did come back on the scene he killed his arch enemy, tore his face off, wore it as a mask, alienated his closest friends, went on a massive rampage of mutilation and killed a super villain in a very public manner.
I dont think MK killing someone is inevitable and i dont think its something we should should be getting excited about because weve already seen it all before and I dont expect it to be anywhere near as good or have the save gravitas should they decide to do it again. It would be weak and smack of a lack of imagination and frankly the likes of Brubaker should be capible of better.
Theres nothing at all about the new series that suggests they are 'building MK to a point where he will have to kill someone'. In fact its quite the opposite and MK clearly exerts more control over his own destiny with each passing issue.
I dont see why the idea of MK killing someone is worthy of such a giddy fan-boy moment.

: I love this current arc and his joining of the
: SA for one simple fact - they are building
: MK to a point where he will have to kill
: someone.
:
: MK has never proven to be a goody goody
: Spider-Man consistently and for that reason
: we know that this cannot last. Hurwitz is
: building it perfectly, you see the struggle
: that he is going through and you know, we
: all know this is a set up the inevitable
: fall from grace and honestly I love MK when
: he is at his lowest. His battle with his
: demons is what makes him so damn awesome.
:
: Just a thought.

: Well considering the fact that the whole
: point
: of the moonknight book at the moment and
: more than likely his reasons behind joining
: the avengers are his quest for redemption
: and to leave his bloody past behind him.
: With that in mind I doubt were going to see
: MK carving up or killing any bad guys
: anytime soon nor should we - it is afterall
: going to be called the 'Heroic Age'...
:
: Being in the Avengers should provide some
: exposure but without a high profile title of
: his own and a major push by the publishers
: there is simply no way that casual fans will
: be drawn to the book - a big name creative
: team and playing a big role in whatever
: Marvels next big event is would be a great
: help.

: actually, MK killed Black Spectre in front
: of
: a very large crowd plus a live tv audience,
: and it looks like they are still having him
: join SA, guess it takes more than murder to
: get black listed, so to speak.

: Actually, if and when Moon Knight snaps,
: that
: would be the only way I would want to see
: it, have him take out some villian,
: permanently, that is at least upper B-list,
: or have Moon Knight return to the Crescent
: Moon carvings on a group of C-list villians.
: Though I am hard pressed to come up with
: logical possibilities...it is not as if
: anybody Moon Knight ever faces, and would be
: allowed to kill, would have any actuall
: ripples in the Marvel Universe...maybe the
: X-men could contract him to help on an
: X-force mission or something...
