I'm new to this site, so I don't know if you've already discussed this or not, but I just finished Wrapped in Rainbows, the definitive Zora Neale Hurston biography. Valerie Boyd takes an unprecedented, honest and sisterly look at the the life and times of this author and cultural anthropologist who wrote so lovingly of her people. While I read Hurston in college, I never appreciated her as much until now. I am a true fan, as Wrapped in Rainbows drives me to read her work again with clear eyes.
