The title of this message is co-opted from Kips article (5/5/2003). Why was she not one of the renassance illumanti? More specifically can anyone help me to find sources,quotes from her critics who disliked her so? Richard wright,toomer the other "guys" all had problems with her political stance towards race relations.They felt that she trivialized their attempts to uplift the race thru literature? true?
