Saw a magazine today with an article on their top 10 women in sci-fi. Only scanned it in the shop, but they had had Scully at number 2, and Buffy at 1. I'm biased 
but I'd have liked Scully to be number 1, but then I suppose she never actually saved the world whereas Buffy did several times The list also had Willow, Captain Janeway, Xena and Ripley from Alien.
