Follow-up to the checkpoint:
12 State Troopers worked 6 hrs at the checkpoint for a total of 72 man hours.
800 contacts were made with the public during the 6 hrs by the 12 troopers.
12 arrest were made.
5 for DUI
3 for drugs
3 illegals from south of the Rio Grand
1 for public intoxication
seems like a big waste of time and taxpayer money doesn't it. Plus the inconvince to 788 citizens who did nothing but get caught up in the checkpoint.
