Heading to Slinger tomorrow. Am I going to see my childhood hero win? I doubt it, but being able to go with my dad and have a "guys" day together, reliving the glory days, is priceless. Do I care if Dick does not win? Hell yes! I still believe in the Purple Knight. Being able to share DT stories with with "new" race fans is great. There always seems to be some "kid" sitting next to me that has never heard the story of Dick pulling the motor out of the tow truck and winning the feature. The stories go on and on.
