"I learned a lot of my racing etiquette from Dick Trickle and the guys that raced in Wisconsin in the '70s and early '80s. They didn't tear up much stuff, and they raced five nights a week. The races didn't pay much, and we couldn't afford to tear stuff up. But they raced hard. They could do that and not tear the heck out of everything."
