I don't think that is what attitude is getting at. What makes your dogs worthy to be bred? How are they contributing to the betterment of the breed? And despite the fact that you can have 2 completely healthy dogs you can still get puppies with HD or ED or EPI if it was in their lines before. There is more to breeding dogs then just the 2 you are putting together to get puppies. Do you show/work any of these dogs? Do you have titles on any of them? What health tests have you done? These are just some of the minimum requirements that responsible breeders are doing and that puppy buyers that are doing their research should be looking for. Anyone can put 2 healthy dogs together and breed them to make money. Are you screening any of the homes that the puppies are going to? Do you take the puppies back without any reason if the owners can't look after them? You may not be a puppy miller pumping out puppies like crazy but it does sound like you are making a fine start as a BYB.
