thanks for answering for Shauna.
The AKC rules do not apply to weight pull, flyball, etc; non akc
events. It seems those rules apply to showing, that makes sense, showing is
subjective, an opinion of the judge, of course! I have been to weight
pull, flyball, protection events, etc where the judges dogs or team were
competing. I have competed in the ring where the judge was a member of
the team racing against me. In working venues, you either do the work
or you don't. I hosted on of the largest flyball tourneys in my region,
I was the tournament director, sat at the judges table and worked the
race while, my team members sat the line and box judged, line judged,
and we raced, it is customary and sometimes essential in the working
arena, do to the limited number of people competing, aka willing to put in
thhe time and train.
You keep refering to Payse and Eric titling their own dogs, you have
only heard the rumors, I do not recall you being involved with the club
at that time, you are simply going on what you have heard. At the time
of the controversy , the people for Iron Dog stepped up and diffused
this rumor, yet still it persists. The people you are falsely spreading
rumors about have worked hard, helped many others, trained others,
traveled all over the country, and have done more to further the working
corso than any one else in the breed. It is hard work to consistantly host
and organize events, train people, and train and work your own dogs. It
takes time, energy and committment. They have, for the past several
years, had the working dogs of the year due to hard work . I find it
absurd that someone can sit back and say that all those multiple titles in
multiple states were self titled. Why is that no one that has competed
against them, at the said events stood up and
cried foul? Yet, someone in another state that was not even in
attendance can perpetuate this myth. I do know that when people want help in
training, holding events, they step up, they will travel and do what is
needed for the good of the breed. They lead by example, walk the talk
