Here's my opinion Greg. Any breed well socialized can make a great family pet (schutz trained or not) its up to the handler to teach the dog proper behaviours. Its also up to the parent to teach the child respect for the animal and also to never leave a young child alone with a powerful dominant canine. Again it all goes back to research Greg. Acquiring a stable, healthy Corso (or whatever breed u choose) from a reputable breeder is first and foremost. Seeing his/her dogs, kennels conditions and talking with past buyers and perhaps seeing past litters will significantly help you in making a wise well informed choice. Can I ask where u are located? Corso's and kids can blend quite nicely if respect and training is applied on both sides. Good luck in your search.
