Posted by Laurie on 10/25/2007, 9:16 am Long story short Patricia called her seeking financial help for a corso female owned by Bryan Travers - this guys supposedly on social assistance an can't afford it!!!( spelling?) - who had a litter of 9 pups that are now 3 weeks ago. The female started cluster seizuring and he wanted to get her on medication. The recue person ask what I thought and if the meds would help. I explained the story behind the Rustic lines and Patricia Averys' dirty history and said not to waste a cent unless you were putting her down as she will die from the epi anyway and there were plenty of families out there to share how awful that is. The rescue said if they gave any money they would require the pups - Patricia said no problem as you could get $1000 bucks a piece. But I told the rescue person that you would just be putting more sick pups with unsuspecting families and she didn't want anything to do with that. Patricia also guaranteed her that more then half the pups would never have epi that it's a freak thing with the breed. I told her the only freak thing about it is the people she's involved with!!

Feel free to crosspost this info on ALL message boards. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!
I got a call from a well respected MORALLY SOUND breeder yesterday who had also been contacted by this rescue worker asking/BEGGING for help. I along with many have contacted this worker and further information and a post from her will soon follow.
She notified Patricia she had spoken with someone very involved with the breed and got the truth - so Patricia then changed her tune and said she wanted help to put the female down cause the guy was going to shoot her and just sell the pups to get his money out of it!!!!!
This is in the Bancroft area - so put out the warnings!! Use this info how you see fit - You can give out the source of this info as well as I think it's horrid what she's trying to pull!!!
I got an update as well that Patricia has contacted other rescues in that area for money and one person said Jerry (or Gerry - spelling) that ran a Corso's kennel would take the pups off their hands to sell - if this is who I think it is then some people need to be exposed for their shit!!!!
I believe that this female is from Aragorn - anything from this dog puts out epi - so which ever litter she's from ( I'm thinking the first Mona x Aragorn litter - Norm and Angela) has epi!!!!!
