I agree with many points made by both sides here. I agree with Butch when he says that many "trainers" wont touch a CC, Ive encountered this on a few occasions, even trainers who proclaim to work all breeds seem almost leary of working with a CC, I encountered one trainer who was totally biased while working D as compared to the many AB's he had lined up to work that day. He was scared, I saw it. The difference in behaviors were like night & day. I also agree with Attitude when she states "dumbing down a competition" to pull in more entries just de-classifies the breed. Corso's can work and work hard as can many other so-called Exotics, but by lowering the qualifications to pass you also lower expectations on what the CC is capable of. I dont agree with self promotion Butch, this board removes puppy sale posts, and your video promotion should also be taken off. The event speaks for itself, those wishing to attend will, and those who dont will not.
Now I know Im gunna get flack on this comment but hell Im feeling bold so....in my opinion the CC is not a working breed persay, its a coursing dog. A dog weighing in excess of 110 + wasnt bred to fly through obstacles to take a decoy down. Wasnt bred to jump through windows or climb ladders. Dont get me wrong here I like working my CC as much as anyone but, testing his limits & capabilities but the true rustic Corso was a coursing farm guard companion animal...oh Im gunna suffer for having this opinion arent i? Just my opinion guys...be nice in your responses ok?
