In that time I have used them in demonstrations at schools and other public functions as an example of a splendid companion for anyone. They have been to the "pet parades" and doggy beauty paegents, as well as doing OB demos and weight pulling. I started this decades ago and still do that to this day. Last year I re-homed three CCs' and the state wide CC rescue uses my kennel when they have more dogs than foster homes. I believe that when posting in new places, comments should be followed by credentials and so include this very, very, brief resume about my involvement with this breed, I could go on a bit more but lets get to your comments. In reverse order; K9PS is not a "Hardest hitting" contest it is a working event that includes a very good OB program and evaluation of a dogs stability and temperamant. It has participants on three continents, and police departments in Europe as well as the US recognise our sport as a great test of Patrol dogs. Several of our exercises have been incorporated into the evaluation programs of police departments worldwide. This does not say the breed cant work it says that the peple that own this breed and the very, few that will actually do some sort of training do not have the means to obtain training that will get them to the level they wish to compete at. The most common comment I hear from around the country is "I went to my SchH or Ring club and they dont work Filas' or CCs' etc. but they are working Dobes and everything else. Why should those that try with the CC be limited because they have a CC? These few and most dedicated of your breeds owners need help and encouragement, not discouragement. Pete E, there may be a few things you dont understand about this certificaton, and there are definitley a lot of things you dont know or understand about K9PS.
