Fila is 4 1/2 yrs old and she is good now. She had a really rough time growing up though, we even wondered if we could keep her it was so bad. she had alot of trouble getting up, sitting down and when walking her hips constantly clicked. She had a series of cartrophan injections, then adequan injections, she also blew her acl and had that repaired. Fila spent a long time on painkillers, then we found cayenne pepper and she has been great ever since. Of course she still gets her regular supplements of glucosamine and msm, but she is 1000% better than she was at 11 months old.
I do know of other CC's who live seemingly painfree with HD but this was not the case for mine. It sounds like yours might be ok though if you don't notice any problems with mobility. Things to look for are alot of falling down when playing, not wanting to get up quickly,or consistently getting up in a 2 part series (first front then back), reluctant to jump over anything even if it is really low.
hope this helps, give your baby a pat from me,
ttyl,
Lexie
