I've got a career to tend to during the day ...during every waking moment almost. I used to hunt mornings before we got a crew to worry about .. followed a real nice cur/hound that treed plenty daylight coon but none in saplings. Don , I'll turn out any dog I have with yours ...but if your dogs aren't gonna hunt and would rather pic fights then they are either gonna suck hind tit or get stomped ...you post a helluva lot about dog fights ...just go ahead and match one of those Dales against a gamebred pit instead of a foo-foo bred one and find out why pitbulls are the king of beers. Don , take this to heart ....an anyone else reading . What hurts Airdales and Jags the most is owners who have it in their head that their dogs can do something wihtout putting the time into actually finishing them out at something . Don , you hunted four days and I take it didn't put a single piece of fur on the barn door ....but in your mind it didn't affect what you think your dogs can do even though they had their chance ...that's kennel blindness at it's worst. I've had plenty of dogs of all kinds that I just knew would be good , and in my youth I did the same shit ...if I liked a dog or it was bred like I wanted then anything it did was great ..caged coon , spotlighted coon , suicidal coyote ...whatever. But if you hunt enough and are fortunate enough to hunt with an outstanding hunting dog of any breed you will wise up and then you can start the real learning. You can hunt all you want , but the only windows of real learning you get are when you come across a real good dog and get them in the woods... you can hunt forever with sorry or mediocre dogs and not learn anything. Don , we all know that breeders who stay home and tend to puppies and breed up dogs are needed ...but sitting in the yard dreaming up pedigrees and watching puppies always tends to warp folks ..and it's only worsened if a breeder doesn't have a full time job or is a dope smoker or drunk ...some real crazy shit has been thunk up by guys sitting on buckets watching puppies play when they're high as a kite.
