Here is Wendy's match report- I think she has done a really good job:
In the League, Division 2 Argyll were hoping to put pressure on the League Leaders , but after 90 minutes they were only able to secure 1 point. Against Wirral Liberals, who also have ground to make up, Argyll thought it would be an easy game, but they obviously hadn’t read the script as Wirral Libs came out fighting and would not give up easily. It was Wirral Libs who capitalised after 15 minutes when the Argyll Keeper fumbled the ball and Dave Leslie was on hand to pounce and put it in the back of the net. There were plenty of hard challenges, free-kicks and loads of verbal banter, but neither side were going that extra mile to take all 3 points. On the 66 minute mark, Argyll were awarded a Penalty after a challenge in the box, and once Lee Yarlett put the ball in the net they seemed to regain some self belief. The last 20 minutes saw immense pressure from the Argyll with Wirral Libs hoping to catch them on the break, but Libs Keeper stayed strong, as did the Argyll Defence. Match ended 1-1.
