Posted by ed coolahan I'm forwarding my email to Ben & Jerry's "suggestion ebox" as I just confirmed what I had suspected the past few years: the took the Wavy brand off the market. Tell Wavy hope he's not offended by my blunt remarks about his mug. I'm no Rock Hudson myself if that's any consolation. Anyhoo, the email: "Does your idea have a name:" Yeah, like why did you retire the best flavor... Every think that maybe the photo of Wavy on the box didn't help sales. I'm a fan of the guy, don't get me wrong, he's funny as hell, which is a good thing because he's not exactly been blessed in the "good looks" department. If I knew nothing about him, I prolly wouldn't pick that flavor, either. So, do the right thing--you guys pride yourself on that right?--and bring back the flavor! Call it Romney Classic (gravy isn't the best name for ice cream, guys.) Call it Richard Nixon for all I care. There's a lot of fans of that flavor you know, enough to come up there and levitate your ice cream plant through sheer psychic energy if we have to. ...... you had: Wavy Gravy. I don't buy Ben & Jerry's ice cream anymore because that was that flavor was by far the best. The others are okay.
