I have only just found your reply whilst searching again for George/Robert John Wills. I do apologize and thank you so much for looking up this info for us.
I was able to download a copy of Susannas probate which was very interesting and have met up with some of the family. Yesterday we went to the State Library in Melbourne searching again. We believe George Wills as he is listed on the birth certificates did go to the goldfields in WA. But as yet can not find his death there or anywhere. We believe it was between 1891 and 1909 when Susannah died listed on death certificate as widow.
Some elder relatives say it was believed he was lost at sea and died between 1891-1895. We can not find proof of this, and as we do not know which port, ship, date, and even which name he used this is very difficult to trace.
He is a very illusive person. We can find no birth, marriage, death, burial, immigration, census or anything but the children s births anywhere.
We will keep searching. Thank you
