Posted by PeterJL on 2/5/2005, 11:45 pm, in reply to "Mystery orchid" I didn't know it could have a pleasant scent although if you pick some and bring them into the house it makes the room smell as though a tomcat has visited. The leaves usually have spots but not always and it grows on basic soils.

Looks like Orchis mascula to me (Early purple).
