
Posted by Mandy on 2/5/2005, 4:38 pm Can someone help put me out of my misery with regards to some orchids which grow quite abundantly in the banks along the lane down which my Mother lives in North Devon? They have no spots on their leaves and have a very strong perfume, otherwise they resemble early purples. Perhaps early purples can be scented and spot free? I took some photos, but they are not very good because it was windy and a farm dog materialised and kept trying to lick my face every time I crouched down. The soil in the area is quite rich in clay and the spot that this was taken in is on a hill top, but sheltered by the earth bank. Hope someone can help. Mandy
