Very saddened at the loss of wild flowers along the towpaths themselves - most of the system now being cut in May, the heart of the bird breeding season when the insects on the plants are desperately needed, and before most plants have seeded down. The towpaths used to carry a huge variety of wild flowers but they are disappearing fast.
