Dear All,
I have begun the ten habitat management projects I am now involved in.
This weekend weather permitting I hope to do the following but at the moment it is only me and any help from anyone who is not busy with family or Halloween would be greatly appreciated.
Saturday 31st Tower Mustard south of Gerrards Cross, Bucks We hope to create some more disturbed open plots. Last year was a success with one plot producing 200 rosettes and 26 flowering plants in August. Please bring forks, spades and gloves.
Sunday 1st November Field cow wheat Brogborough, Beds. We hope to cut the rank grassland vegetation and rake it off. I have three spare pitch forks and three spare plastic big rakes for people to use. Sadly no plants were found this year but the spot was covered with melillot.
I am away until Friday but also can be contacted for details on 07899 987 390.
Don't forget to bring pack lunch. Anyone who can help then that would be great. It makes the job a lot easier.
