Brief details of this year's competition follow. The full text will be printed in the autumn magazine with the address to send entries to (this is also in the name and address list sent out with the summer magazine) Please pass this information on to non computer owning members.
All competition entries must be photographs of a plant growing wild and taken by a member after May 2006. There are two sections Main and Novice, each with four classes. Please ensure entries are placed in the correct class. Members may enter up to three photographs in each class for which they qualify, but an entrant may only be awarded one placing in each class. At the discretion of the judges, second and third places may not be awarded if the entry for a particular class is too small. In all classes except ‘Foreign Fields’ the picture must have been taken in the British Isles.
Entries should be sent, suitably packed, with an s.a.e. for return, to the Competition Secretary by 8th October. Prints will be displayed at the AGM/Tea Party and will be returned by post.
It is assumed that the WFS may reproduce your entries in the magazine or on the WFS website; unless you indicate in writing that you do not wish us to do so.
