I am slightly confused, I saw today what I think was Fools Watercress Apium nodiflorum, it was growing in a slow running stream,in Wiltshire near Bradford on Avon. When I picked a leaf it had a smell very similar to that of Samphire, a fresh smell slightly peppery I would say. I have looked it up, but cannot see anything about smell, apart from Wild Celery which says is found nearer the sea, Then I get more confused because on one site on the Internet it says Wild Celery sometimes known as Fools watercress. Any ideas please.
