His way you stop off for a (usually fruitless) hunt for the Rannoch Rush (hope it doesn't rain Rannoch moor is pretty bleak in the sunshine). You could look for Lamium confertum (Northern Deadnettle) which grows in the flower beds at John o'Groats and at Duncansby Head you'll find Scots Lovage.
