In Hertfordshire, there is a yellow plant flowering now in clumps close to the ground in fields and also in an overgrown hospital garden. Its flower is like a daisy or small dandelion, and it has fluffy seedheads a bit like a dandelion. I can't see any leaves at all. Its buds look like tiny Brussels sprouts - several flowers attached to a short stubby stem. In the hospital garden I weeded around them but they seem to prefer being surrounded by other plants and look a bit droopy now. Can anyone tell me something about this flower?
