A spectacular plant has appeared in my garden in Bexhill. Self-seeds freely. Leaves a little like a fox glove but not downy. Flower to leaf ratio suggests a weed! 20 cm spires of tiny white flowers in July become blackberry coloured squishy ridged seeds in August/September. Whole thing grows to about 1.5m x 1.5m. Hollow, fleshy stems that do not need any support. I think it is a perennial. I suspect it will turn out to be an unwelcome alien, but it is very beautiful. Any ideas? Thanks for you help.
