Thanks for posting the detail of the rosette because this has helped immensely. The larger (i.e. more mature) leaves have around 10-12 teeth, and if you look carefully the margins of the petioles are weakly pubescent. This points to Saxifraga umbrosa x spathularis = S. x urbium, better known as Londonpride, as being your mystery plant. I'd hang my hat on this now!
