“Downsize California NOW!”
MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT…!
“Citizens for Saving California Farming Industries” is kicking off the drive to place the “measure” to
split California into two states on the November 2010 ballot. In many instances, politicians and voters
from LA County and the Bay Area dictate our farm policy. More often than not, these policies are not
good for California Agriculture. Water usage is a perfect example. We have tens of thousands of farm
workers out of work and hundreds of thousands of acres, of the best farm land in the country lying
barren. This is all because of our water policies. That’s CRAZY!!!
It will happen again and again to our farmers and ranchers on dozens of other issues if something is
not done. Powerful liberal, social and political forces inside and outside the state will continue to
propose measures harmful to agriculture and our everyday lives.
No other region in the world has the capability of producing the variety of agriculture
commodities as California. We must not allow the short-sightedness of our metropolitan
politicians and its voters to destroy an irreplaceable industry!
It’s time to change this NOW!!!
The 1977-78 California budget was 14 billion dollars. Today our budget is
nearly 150 billion dollars. Since 1978 our population has increased 68%.
Our budget has increased over 1000%. That is more than 10 times!!
PEOPLE, THAT’S INSANE!! We need to downsize California NOW!!
The benefits would be colossal!
Picture a State where the farmers and ranchers have all the water
they need and put back to work the tens of thousands of farm
workers that are out of work; a State where we can again feed the
nation because all of our farm land is under production.
Picture a State where there are no personal or corporate income
taxes or state inheritance taxes; a State with thousands of fewer
laws and regulations; a State where things can actually get done quickly without the hindrance of government and special interest
groups. Picture a State where the border is truly controlled; a State with only one legislative body that meets no more than 3 months a
year. Picture a State with much lower electric and gasoline cost and where the gas tax will actually be applied to road building and
maintenance.
The bottom line is to picture a state where the bureaucrats and politicians work for us instead of the contrary; a State that is truly
people and business friendly and cares more about people than fish and bugs. THIS IS YOUR STATE! This is the perfect time
for change. We are in the “Perfect Storm” to Downsize California NOW!!
