The idea of the improved facility is a good one. However, It will be very hard pressed to make anything of it. First the city surrounding is a dump. The city of San Bernardino needs people to feel safe when they drive in to use the new facility. Second, Vendors that the city doesnt have do not want in to san bernardino because of its poor economics. The city is still on the slide. The track we know has always been more on the losing side rather than the profit side. However, McCray is doing a good job to return the speedway to a profitable family gathering place and a safe place for people to attend. However Those people are few of the same they desire to attend those shops and resturaunts. The Orange show blew it when they chose not to rebuild the Swing auditorium. The venues that passed through were top notch entertainment. Sense Inner city berdo has never been the same. Other than a jam packed RAV or two, entertainment in downtown berdo has sucked. And still the newspaper does not present the races like they used to. I hate looking forthe fine print of last Saturday night.
